Luciano Bom Cabelo and João Martins joined forces to write and perform the song “Povo de Santo,” which celebrates ancestral heritage and the fight against religious racism.
The work presents a provocative discussion of religious racism, especially in times when intolerance goes unpunished. The critique takes the form of music that expresses hope for better days, highlighting the need to expose oppression and all the blessings that faith brings: “Respect the people of the saints, and I will respect your altar.”
