The music video “Negro Boy Magia” portrays the lifestyle of Black artists from the periphery amid complex urban and social realities, as they strive to create their art, preserve the culture of the periphery, and build their artistic careers. The work presents glimpses into the life of the artist Poeta Cassi, a young Black man from the periphery, who has strengthened his identity and boosted his self-esteem through the Black culture of the peripheries. Inspired by the song “... Black people shine like light,” he produced the project’s audiovisual content in a collaborative effort featuring Black and peripheral residents, highlighting an aesthetic perspective that affirms and values the actors and cultural creators of the peripheries.
