2015 Black Women's March in Brasília

19 min - 2015 - Cultne.TV

On November 18, 2015, women from all over Brazil marched in Brasília to protest racism and social and gender inequality in the country.

The proposal for the National March of Black Women Against Racism, Violence, and for Good Living was presented in 2011 by members of the Center for the Defense and Study of Black People in Pará (CEDENPA) during Afro XXI—the Ibero-American Meeting for the International Year for People of African Descent—held in Salvador, Bahia. The March was launched nationally in 2013 during a Black Women’s event held at the Third Conference on the Promotion of Racial Equality (III CONAPIR).
