Every June, the Casa Sueli Carneiro Festival celebrates the intellectual and activist legacy of one of Brazil’s leading voices in the fight against racism and sexism.
It is a major celebration that features a series of readings, discussions, book launches, concerts, and tributes throughout June, both in person and online. There are more than 20 cultural and artistic events that highlight the intellectual contributions of Black women.
