About
With a degree in Social Sciences, she has worked on issues such as domestic violence, gender equality, and human rights. In 2005, she wrote, directed, and edited the documentary *Tecendo Histórias e Bordando Novos Caminhos* (Weaving Stories and Embroidering New Paths), a project that facilitated exchanges between women from the outskirts of São Paulo and Paris in 2009 and 2011. She served as a researcher for the SescTV series *Cena Inquieta* (26 episodes), released in July 2020 and produced by Olhar Imaginário, focusing on Black, gender-based, and political theater. She directed the short fiction film A Voz de Adélia, which was selected by several festivals, including the 10th Primavera do Cine Festival in Vigo, Spain. She made her feature film debut as co-director of Dentro da Minha Pele, released by Globoplay in August 2020. The documentary premiered at the 25th É Tudo Verdade Festival – São Paulo 2020, won the Best Director award at the 8th Caruaru Film Festival – Pernambuco 2021, and had its international premiere at the 33rd IDFA – International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, Netherlands 2020.
