Directed by Maria Rita Nepomuceno in partnership with Caliban Produções Cinematográficas, the documentary series “Mães da Terra” chronicles the self-organizing practices of indigenous, Quilombola, and peripheral communities surrounding motherhood across generations, highlighting the relationship between mothers and grandmothers and featuring interviews with scholars and activists connected to the territorial context of each episode.
