Junice de Carvalho is an Angolan journalist and filmmaker with over 13 years of experience in television, standing out for her commitment to promoting Angolan culture and identity through communication and audiovisual media.
She began her career at Angolan Public Television, where she worked in the news department between 2013 and 2013, acting as a reporter and weather presenter on the news program during 2013 and 2014. Throughout this period, she consolidated a career marked by journalistic rigor and closeness to the public.
Subsequently, she moved to the entertainment area, where she presented the program *Mais Estilo*, dedicated to health, beauty, and well-being, expanding her versatility as a communicator and strengthening her connection with content focused on promoting female image and identity.
In 2024, she debuted as a director with the documentary *The Beauty of Rural Women*, a work that portrays the ancestral knowledge of Mumuila women and the use of natural resources as a symbol of cultural identity. The documentary was shown on the Zap Viva channel in Angola in March 2025, and later on RTP África in November of the same year, achieving national and international recognition. The work was also a finalist in important Angolan film festivals, such as Move Angola and Doc Luanda.
In 2026, Junice directed the documentary *Kianda – Beliefs and Rituals*, which won the Best Documentary award at the Fest Kianda international competition in Angola. The work premiered on the Zap Viva channel as part of the celebrations of Luanda City Day, reinforcing her role as one of the emerging voices in the preservation and dissemination of Angolan cultural heritage.
