The documentary tells the story of the origins of Ilê Omolu Oxum, a traditional Candomblé terreiro in Rio de Janeiro led by Mãe Meninazinha de Oxum. This story is intertwined with the history of Candomblé in Rio itself.
The aim of this project is to encourage the exchange of traditional knowledge among the terreiro communities; to address and prevent the erasure of the memory and knowledge of African-based religions; and to promote initiatives to combat racism and religious intolerance.
