Singing “Candeia” has always been a long-held dream. It is also the driving force behind Teresa Cristina’s entire artistic career; she first heard the composer’s music at the age of 8, on her father’s record player.
Full concert: "Teresa Cristina Sings Candeia," held at Theatro Net Rio in Copacabana. It was while researching Candeia’s work that she met Wilson Moreira and the Velha Guarda da Portela. It was because of her dedication to this great composer’s repertoire that Monarco invited her to perform guest appearances at the Velha Guarda’s shows. If she is called a samba singer today, it is thanks to him.
