The coordinator of the Working Group on Community Archives of the Latin American Archives Association (GTAC/ALA) was invited by the Chamber of Deputies’ Culture Committee to discuss the creation and management of collections
The debate was requested by Representative Benedita da Silva (PT-RJ) and held in Plenary Chamber 16. Benedita asserts that preserving the history of the Black population is essential to recognizing their cultural and social contributions to the country. She adds that managing these collections requires adequate storage conditions, climate control, technical resources, and funding to ensure their sustainability
