Federal law designates Cultne, the country’s largest digital collection of Black culture, as an expression of Brazilian culture. Cultne’s digital collection must receive support for programs and resources related to management, preservation, memory, maintenance, and distribution, in order to ensure the appreciation of popular culture and the promotion of Black culture, and to enable the cross-cutting nature of the content and access to the most diverse social strata, thereby facilitating means to improve education, communication, and access for entrepreneurs from various communities and civil society.
