A leading event celebrating Afro-Brazilian cultural diversity, the 3rd edition of the Ori Festival held a huge celebration at Fundição Progresso to mark Black Awareness Day. It was two days of nonstop axê!
A major gathering of the Black community to celebrate resilience and strength through concerts, art exhibitions, braiding and hairstyling workshops, literary events, children’s activities, and an Afro-entrepreneurship fair. At Fundição Progresso, the Wakanda In Madureira collective and the samba groups Balaio Bom, Azula, and Dj Fabão performed. In addition, Kitabu Livraria Negra, Casa AfroDai, and SESC-RJ hosted activities at the event.
