“BAILE FUNK: A Cry for Freedom” arrived at the Lille 3000 Festival in France to showcase funk from a unique perspective: not just as a musical rhythm, but as a culture that moves and transforms Brazil every day. From June 21 to September 21, everyone visiting the Maison Folie Wazemmes will be able to interact with the installations, listen to music, dance, and read texts that tell the story of funk. The approximately 900 works (including photos, paintings, video art, and records) were produced by around 100 Brazilian and international artists. Admission is 100% free.
