An event held in Cologne, Germany, celebrated the art and cultural heritage of our roots; it served to honor and elevate Afro-Brazilian culture as one of the most important aspects of Brazilian identity, music, religion, and dance.
The Vozes do Brasil choir collaborated with other groups and artists such as Maracatu Colonia, Alfonso Garrido, Mauricio Virgens, Denise Krammer, Klaus Schlossmacher, Sonja Niggeling-Ott, Lusotaque, Panamérica Transatlântica, and Ijula, bringing together music, dance, capoeira, and theater.
