On March 28, 2022, Cultne attended the ceremony at the UERJ Ecumenical Chapel on the university’s Maracanã campus to confer an honorary doctorate on composer, singer, writer, and researcher Nei Lopes.
The artist is undoubtedly one of the leading figures in Brazilian folk art and Afro-Brazilian culture, with numerous works and reference books on the subject already published, in addition to a prolific musical output, including sambas that have left an indelible mark on the musical imagination of our people.
