We also held an autograph session with ten Black women writers and a mini-concert by singer-songwriter Marina Íris. Setting up the Casa da Escrevivência had long been a dream of Conceição’s, who wanted to make her library and documents available to public school teachers, researchers, and artists for studies and projects focused on community issues.
