The event discussed agendas, approaches, and frameworks, drawing on the experience of Black movements to inspire and guide the development of reparatory public policies by the Brazilian government.
The seminar “Memory, Recognition, and Reparation” was organized by the Ibirapitanga Institute, co-curated by historian Luciana Brito, and co-funded by Imaginable Futures. The event took place at MUHCAB and was attended and participated in by prominent Black figures.
