The conference addresses the living conditions of Rio de Janeiro’s Black population, as well as the goal of creating a city committed to combating racism and promoting a good quality of life for people in all areas of the capital.
“Rio, an Anti-Racist City” took place at the Museum of Tomorrow in the port area of Rio de Janeiro on September 2 and 3, 2022. The conference was founded and organized by the Peripheries Laboratory (Perifa Lab) in partnership with the Urban Affairs Committee of the Rio de Janeiro City Council, the Climate and Society Institute, Casa Fluminense, and the Gueto Institute.
