Founded in 2008, the Latinidades Festival is now considered the largest festival for Black women in Latin America, involving all regions of Brazil each year and attracting growing international participation (from more than 20 countries). It is an ongoing initiative to promote racial and gender equity, as well as a platform for training and advancing the careers of Black women in a wide range of fields.
