The training course "Lab Afro Brasilidades Contemporâneas" took place at Data_Labe in Maré, organized by Perifaconnection with the aim of empowering a group of young people from favelas and outlying areas of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Perifaconnection is a platform for sharing narratives about the suburbs, created by young people from across the country. The course’s closing event featured the first Afro Brasilidades exhibition, which provided opportunities for young independent Black artists from the suburbs.
