João Jorge’s inauguration marks a new era for the Palmares Cultural Foundation, strengthening the preservation and promotion of Afro-Brazilian culture. His leadership promises to advance diversity, respect, and equality in our country.
The ceremony took place at the Itamaraty Palace and was attended by the current Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes, and a large number of guests from all over Brazil. João Jorge is a lawyer with a master’s degree in law from the University of Brasília and a member of the PSB (Brazilian Socialist Party).
