About

Mauricio Eiras is a businessman and advertising professional who has been passionate about audiovisual media for as long as he can remember. What started as a childhood hobby of making videos with friends turned into a serious pursuit, though no less fun or enjoyable. After graduating from PUC-RJ in 2001, he began working as an editor alongside renowned director Silvio Tendler at Caliban Produções Cinematográficas and has since held various roles within the film industry. In 2004, he opened his own production company, Digi2 Filmes, which has distinguished itself through the documentaries “Gerson King Combo, the Movie,” “Springs Also Die,” and “Coffee Carmos From Minas,” as well as concert recordings such as “Iluminado Dominguinhos,” “Oludom Live at the ORI Festival,” and “Teresa Cristina Sings Candeia.” In its nearly 20 years of existence, the company has served a variety of renowned clients, including L’Oréal, the NBA, Petrobras, Nestlé, SC Johnson, Supervia, SESC, SENAC, Carmo Coffees, and Werner Coiffeur, among others.
His journey into racial literacy began when he met the respected documentary filmmaker Dom Filó in 2008. Following that meeting, Mauricio Eiras, David Obadia, and Dom Filó joined forces and created the Cultne brand for productions addressing issues related to diversity, inclusion, and equality.
