About
I am an audiovisual producer, director, editor, and researcher of Black art. As the daughter of a longtime activist in the Black movement, I often joke that feminism, socialism, and Black empowerment were in my blood from birth.
I hold a degree in Film Directing from Darcy Ribeiro University and served as an assistant to Zózimo Bulbul during the final years of his life.
I have directed four short films and participated in several others as a producer, executive production assistant, and art director. I was part of the crew for several feature films and series, such as Lucas Rossi’s “Othelo: O Grande” and Clara Linhart’s “Eu Sou Maria.” I have organized film training programs in the African countries of Senegal and Mozambique. I was part of the Brazilian Delegation at the 22nd FESPACO – Pan-African TV and Film Festival in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, in 2013. In Uruguay, I participated in the Course for New Afro-Descendant Leaders – Mundo Afro. I am currently part of the CULTNE team cataloging the digital collection.
