Diretora Artística

About

Born and raised in Itaboraí, Rio de Janeiro, Lavynia considers herself a jack-of-all-trades—or, as they say, the “famous Carioca who can figure out a way to do just about anything.” Currently pursuing a degree in Social Sciences at Universidade Federal Fluminense, she brings her life experience to her academic work by researching and discussing fashion, expressing and highlighting the trends and references she observes on the street, and applying a critical eye to the scenarios she explores in her projects. She serves as Art Director, handles production, develops scripts, and, if necessary, takes care of everything required backstage. The granddaughter of a seamstress, she inherited the gift from her grandmother Olga Silvério and has been redefining this talent by creating pieces and new perspectives within culture, fashion, and clothing. She is currently the Art Director of the Black and independent music label MocamboGrita, founded and also orchestrated by Black people, aiming to promote the distribution and impact of Black culture in the country through music.
